Over the course of the complete water cycle, various measurement, control, treatment and usage processes are carried out on the resource being exploited. Many of these processes are characterised by their basic electricity consumption.

There is a need for an alternative source of energy to guarantee the supply of electricity at specific locations that is capable of overcoming the problems of conventional solutions like connection to the grid (high installation costs), photovoltaic solar panels (vandalism and theft) and accumulators (major maintenance work).

In order to address this need, Aqualogy has developed pico-turbine equipment especially designed to meet the basic energy requirements identified in the various installations and processes linked to the water cycle, using the pico-turbine system (apt Systems).

It is a complete, compact and versatile solution with minimum implementation costs and low maintenance. The energy produced is 100% clean and renewable.

Apt systems® technology provides enough electricity to guarantee the autonomous operation of basic energy consumption facilities using energy recovered from the hydraulic conditions available in the process itself.

Apt systems® device is a complete solution made up of an electromechanical pico-turbine/generator/accumulator and back-up battery/control and security panel.

The hydraulic turbine has been especially modelled and designed for the optimal energy recovery of the available H-Q hydraulic parameters.

The accumulation and supply unit has been specially designed and tested to separate energy production from the site's consumption.

 

 

 

 

Pico-turbine system in Santo Ángel (Murcia)

The Santo Ángel system consists of the implementation of the pico-turbine system to provide sufficient electricity supply to guarantee the autonomous operation of the remote-controlled telemetry station.

The apt systems® device operates satisfactorily, installed in parallel with the measuring and interconnection sectioning system, between the main distribution pipe and the Santo Ángel urban micro-sector supply.

The Fuensanta pico-turbine installation consists of the implementation of APT Systems® device to provide sufficient electricity supply to guarantee the autonomous operation of the remote-controlled telemetry regulation station.

The system operates satisfactorily, installed in parallel with the measuring and interconnection regulation system, between the main distribution pipe and the Fuensanta urban micro-sector supply.
