15 May 2013
Utility Service Group (USG), Aqualogy’s company in the United States, has been awarded a contract for the installation of a new TRS (Trihalomethane Removal System) in a water tank in North Carolina (US).
The contract foresees the reduction of trihalomethanes in the water tank, produced by the action of a nearby electricity company, using an innovative aeration system.
USG and Aqualogy thus position themselves as a benchmark to offer the best result in the provision of this service, which currently enjoys high demand in the United States. For example, they have also installed and are in charge of managing TRS in three of the main drinking water tanks which supply the city of Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania) with the aim of reducing the percentage of trihalomethanes at the outlet of the tanks, each one of which has a capacity of 5 million gallons (18,927 cubic metres).
Utility Service Group, with its headquarters in Atlanta (Georgia), is a specialist in the maintenance and improvement of drinking water infrastructures and serves over two thousand municipalities in 35 American states. USG offers Aqualogy a platform which allows it to strengthen its position as a leader in management solutions and environmental technologies in a market which forms one of its pillars of development.
