The French Chamber in Barcelona rewards SUEZ with the Prix Pyrénées
20 February 2018
The French Chamber in Barcelona awarded the Prix Pyrénées to SUEZ, a prize received by Angel Simón, Executive Vicepresident of SUEZ, from the French ambassador in Spain, Yves Saint-Geours, in an event held last night in Barcelona.
In his intervention, Angel Simón stated that “the company has always been a bridge between Spain and France. A meeting point in which to exchange knowledge, allowing ideas, business projects and professionals to circulate in both directions”.
The award was, in turn, a distinction for Aigües de Barcelona, a company created 150 years ago at a time of major challenges for the city, Angel Simón indicated. Since then, he added, “we have always been side-by-side with the city and the citizens. We form an inseparable part of Barcelona and Catalan society”.
The prize jury was made up of the French Chamber of Commerce in Barcelona, the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona, the employers’ associations Foment del Treball and Pimec, and the Godó Group. Around 250 people attended the event.
