SUEZ WATER SPAIN ORGANISES A WORKSHOP ON EFFICIENT ENERGY MANAGEMENT
04 October 2016
SUEZ Water Spain has organised a workshop on energy with the aim of explaining how to manage energy efficiently within facilities, through the use of highly efficient and sustainable techniques to minimize waste, and advanced price optimisation methodology. The purpose of this is to reduce both energy and sustainable waste management costs in line with the European Horizon 2020 objectives.
The themes that will be dealt with during the workshop can be broken down into two avenues of work, designed to support the competitiveness of companies. On the one hand, solutions for reducing waste management and contributing to meeting environmental challenges through sustainable, circular economy-based projects. And, on the other, solutions designed to reduce and optimise energy costs through strategic consulting for electricity and gas procurement.
During the workshop, a variety of solutions was presented, most notably, gasification projects ranging from technical and economic feasibility studies, to detailed engineering, plant design and construction, and plant operation and maintenance. In addition the solutions dealt with sourcing funding, and the negotiation and management of energy contracts through smart management of market risk and energy self-sufficiency studies.
The event, which took place at the Ciutat de l’Aigua’s CREA venue, saw the participation of Advanced Energy Consulting, a firm specialised in strategic consulting for electricity and gas procurement, and also CHR Legal, a multi-disciplinary firm covering criminal, tax, commercial and procedural law, with offices in Madrid and Barcelona and whose excellence and prestige are recognised by Chambers. Also present were representatives from private sector companies from Catalonia and Aragon who are related either directly or indirectly to energy management within their companies.
