SUEZ Advanced Solutions participates in the European research project BINGO
22 September 2016
The main objective of the project, which has a total budget of €7.8m and is led by LNEC, is to provide knowledge and solutions to complete water cycle managers in the face of the challenges arising from climate change, and it includes advanced weather forecasting tools and resilience measures to manage the uncertainty associated with this phenomenon.
The main contribution of SUEZ Advanced Solutions to this project, which will last for four years, consists of assessing the impacts produced by flooding and combined sewer overflows (CSO) on the complete water cycle, especially on tourist and environmental uses of the receiving environments.
The scenario chosen for the participation of SUEZ Advanced Solutions is the city of Badalona, the third largest in Catalonia (220,000 inhabitants).
The first annual meeting of the project took place in Bergen (Norway) last June.
