“DROP BY DROP”, THE WINNING PROJECT IN THE WATER CATEGORY OF IMAGINE EXPRESS 2016
23 February 2016
All aboard the train! With this call, the winners of SUEZ Water Spain’s disruptive innovation programme Call for Ideas - Imagine Express began their three-day adventure to develop and mature their project proposals.
Patricia Posadas presented “Drop by drop”, which consists of promoting crowdfunding by means of the water bill; Josep Rof, for his part, presented “Aquaberry”, based on the development of a computer for remote control starting from the Raspberry Pi Zero, and María Consolación Montilla presented “Shared gardens”, an application to manage a community garden.
The train left Barcelona last Friday bound for London, with a stop in Paris. During the journey to the city of light, the participants worked on the conceptualization of the idea, seeking its differential and innovative value. On the Saturday morning, once in the hotel, they made a prototype of each idea and, in the afternoon, they prepared their presentation pitch on the way to London.
Thus, on the Sunday morning, in a London Eye capsule, each of them set out the value points of each of their ideas in just five minutes and in the most original manner possible before a senior management committee.
The winning project in the water category was “Drop by drop”, which will be presented during 4YFN, an international encounter for the growing community of technology start-ups which will take place within the framework of the Barcelona Mobile World Congress 2016.
Likewise, given the degree of disruption and quality of the three proposals, SUEZ Water Spain’s Innovation Office will work this year to seek the resources and the key partners necessary to begin to mature the concept and develop these proposals, and thus be able to promote them.
