VISIBLE PARTICIPATION OF AQUALOGY ON WORLD TOURISM DAY, HELD IN THE CANARY ISLANDS

Aqualogy visibly participated at the World Tourism Day celebrations held this year in Gran Canaria, focusing on highlighting the role of tourism and achieving a future in which all of the world's population has access to modern, efficient and affordable energy services.
Thus, from 25 to 28 September, Aqualogy set up a stand at the Palacio de Congresos of San Bartolomé de Tirajana, which provided information on the advanced management of beach quality, environmental management in the hotel sector and a connection point to iBeach. In addition, COWAMA screens were installed at the main entrance to the Palacio de Congresos. Aqualogy's stand was visited by the President of the Canary Islands, Paulino Rivero, and the Secretary-General of the World Tourism Organization, Taleb Rifai, among other authorities, as well as professionals and entrepreneurs from the island.
Moreover, the commercial director of Aqualogy in the Canary Islands, José Juan González, took part on a panel discussion organized by the Agency for Research, Innovation and the Information Society of the Canary Islands the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Islands Institute of Technology (ITC). The meeting brought together public agents and the tourism sector business community, as well as representatives from other relevant economic sectors, to address and discuss the importance of tourism in defining the Smart Specialisation Strategy.
The Prince and Princess of Asturias, together with the Minister for Industry, Energy and Tourism, José Manuel Soria, officially opened the events of World Tourism Day, on 27 September, going on to hold a private meeting with the sponsors of the event, which includes Aqualogy, during which they highlighted the work being done in the implementation of sustainable criteria in economic development, particularly with regard to water and renewable and environmentally friendly energy.
