AQUALOGY KNOWLEDGE LAUNCHES THE POSTGRADUATE COURSE IN WATER TREATMENT PLANT MANAGEMENT AND OPERATION
22 December 2012
Aqualogy Knowledge, in collaboration with UPC-Barcelona Tech, has launched the first edition of the postgraduate course in Water Treatment Plant Management and Operation. This specialisation is the result of a collaborative effort developed in recent years between the UPC School of Professional and Executive Development, Aqualogy and Agbar. Thanks to the experience acquired over these years, the training offered is highly qualified and specialised. The postgraduate course in Water Treatment Plant Management and Operation complements the educational offering of Aqualogy Knowledge which, last year, launched the first edition of the Master’s Degree in Water Management and Technology. The master’s degree programme offers a vision of technical and management aspects, including legal, administrative and HR areas. The postgraduate course focuses more on technical aspects strongly oriented to new developments in engineering and innovation, and highlights the application of the latest advances in water treatment technology and water purification, the use of alternative water resources and related legislative issues.
The postgraduate course began in late 2012 and will be completed by the middle of next year. It consists of 108 classroom hours and online sessions and includes work experience and site visits, during which students will be able to develop their skills in the efficient operation of these processes and will strengthen and update their knowledge in this area, thanks to the introduction of the latest technologies to be applied in the sector. It offers a qualification from UPC-Barcelona Tech itself; integrated within the European Higher Education Area.
