AQUALOGY SUPPLY CHAIN TO SUPPLY REAGENTS IN TARRAGONA
12 September 2012
Aqualogy Supply Chain has been awarded the public tender contract to supply reagents for the next four years to the Aigües de Tarragona Consortium (CAT).
Specifically, Aqualogy will provide the CAT's DWTP in Ampolla (Tarragona) with around 1,200 tons of ferric chloride per year, in 24-tonne tanks. The contract began during the last quarter of 2012 and will last for another two years, with the possibility of two-year extensions.
The CAT's DWTP in Ampolla has had an average capacity of 70 hm3/year in recent years. The CAT provides coverage to 65 municipalities and 31 industries in the province, accounting for 30% of the area of Tarragona and 80% of the population served.
This award will help to consolidate Aqualogy Supply Chain as a supplier of reagents and other water treatment products, the supply and delivery of which it began early this year for operations run by companies of Agbar itself. The plan is to channel the supply of all Agbar's chemical products in the last quarter of 2012.
