AQUALOGY AND CETAQUA TO MAKE AN IMPORTANT APPEARANCE AT THE IWA WORLD WATER CONGRESS IN BUSAN (SOUTH KOREA)

Aqualogy and CETaqua will take part at the IWA World Water Congress, to be held from 16 to 21 September in Busan (South Korea). Among the scheduled activities, CETaqua will exhibit the two European and world award-winning Life projects (Biocell and Water Change) at the IWA Awards stand. Experts from Aqualogy and CETaqua will act as speakers at 10 presentations and in the industrial forum on e-meters (smart metering) in the field of water. The Aqualogy stand will also present Aqualogy’s service portfolio.
The round tables at which the group will participate begin on Monday. Alex Galí will explain the results of the ultrasound pilot plant as an adjunct in the treatment process for biological nitrogen removal. Galí will once again lead a presentation on Tuesday, in this case, on the recovery of phosphorus and nitrogen via struvite precipitation in the anaerobic digestion of sewage sludge. Subsequently, Tomás Michel will describe the assessment of a decision making system for the continuous management of the sewerage and drainage systems. Xavier Bernat will discuss the removal of emerging contaminants at the Llobregat aquifer. Angels Cabello will give two presentations, the first on the methodology for assessing flooding due to climate and land use and the second on the vulnerability of the Barcelona area in episodes of heavy rain.
On Wednesday, Tomàs Michel will participate at the industry forum dedicated to smart meters. Michel will describe the group's actual experience in implementing these systems. Susana González will provide a description of water rate systems. Afterwards, Xavier Bernat will analyse charcoal filters in the area of drinking water treatment and Susana González will present the integration of online and offline contaminant detection systems. Experts from the group will participate until Thursday, 20 September, when Xavier Bernat will give a presentation on the distribution of dissolved organic matter compounds based on their molecular weight at different stages of the drinking water treatment process.
The IWA World Water Congress brings together more than 5,000 professionals from the water sector from around the world and is held every two years. Aqualogy and CETaqua’s extensive participation at this year’s event positions them as leading brands at this meeting point for water professionals.
