AQUALOGY AWARDED A CONTRACT IN BRAZIL
10 May 2012
Aqualogy will produce the basic sewerage master plan (water, sewerage system, drainage and waste) for the Santa María prefecture, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with a population of 260,000 inhabitants. The contract, which is signed today, is the second Aqualogy has won in Brazil following the awarding of the supply, installation and operation under guarantee of a sludge management system for a wastewater treatment plant in the city of Limeira (population 280,000), in the state of São Paulo, less than two months ago.
This new award endorses the Aqualogy strategy to be present in Brazil in collaboration with local companies. Through these contracts, Aqualogy is now seen as a high-technology partner with important references at a time when Brazil is looking to make major investments in water and sewerage, to the tune of 170 billion euros until 2030, and when its market, highly competitive for and demanding of foreign companies, requires advanced solutions such as those provided by Aqualogy.
