AQUALOGY TO IMPROVE MAIN WATER TANK IN ROCKVILLE (USA)
16 April 2012
Utility Service Group (USG), Aqualogy’s company in the United States, is to undertake processes to reduce trihalomethanes in the main water tank in the city of Rockville, Maryland. The facility has a capacity for 8 million gallons (30,000 cubic metres), representing two thirds of the water stored in the city.
The project includes the initial design, application and installation of the equipment required to carry out trihalomethane reduction processes. This is the second contract to reduce trihalomethanes in water tanks that USG has been awarded, following one in Johnston County (North Carolina). Thanks to the application of their own technology for reducing these compounds, USG and Aqualogy are placed to obtain the best results in providing this service.
Utility Service Group, headquartered in Atlanta (Georgia), specialises in cleaning drinking water tanks and serves over 1,400 towns in 35 states. USG gives Agbar a platform on which to strengthen their position as a leader in management solutions and environmental technologies in a market that is one of its pillars of development.
