BIOGAS METHANATION PROJECT (CHILE). 2009

Construction of the country’s first biogas production plant at La Farfana. This energy development is the first of its kind in the world and combines technology and innovation for the production of renewable energy. A blackwater treatment plant generates biogas, which is then used to produce gas for household consumption. It was officially inaugurated in May 2009.

The first experimental plant using electrochemical techniques has been specifically designed to deal with the major water flows managed in the sector.

It has enabled two pilot tests on congenital water treatment and drainage techniques to be conducted: one treating polluted water from various types of crude oil (offshore) and another involving water from workshops and tanks and other sources (onshore).

Increasing the water efficiency of networks

Aqualogy develops control mechanisms and improves the performance of distribution networks. To obtain optimal levels in both technical performance and NRW (non-revenue water), we offer a number of technology-based management techniques and methods, both for network analysis and for restoration work and leak detection/location, which enable the admissible values of around 75% to be obtained in terms of performance.

The aim of this solution is to take another step forward by implementing specific control mechanisms, raising this ratio to values in excess of 80%.
