URBAN WATER AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: WATER INFRASTRUCTURE AND WORKS PROJECTS

Design projects, expert consultancy services, works management, control and surveillance of works and diagnosis of the operation of water infrastructure and works. This covers the tasks of design, initial sizing, analysis, calculation, drawing, technical specifications and technical and economic assessment of all types of water infrastructure.

URBAN WATER AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: NETWORK MANAGEMENT (NRW)

Studies and projects aimed at improving performance of drinking water networks through adaptation of optimum network pressures and sectorisation design to improve leak detection and permit the control of minimum night-time flows. The purpose of these projects is to reduce non-revenue water (NRW) and thus improve the drinking water distribution service and optimise investment to improve the economic performance.

URBAN WATER AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: ASSET MANAGEMENT

Consultancy and engineering work for the management, maintenance and updating of information on water infrastructures. It permits the assessment and diagnosis of the state of drinking water supply networks. Management systems for decision making on network renewal and rehabilitation, thus enabling prioritisation of network renewal requirements, including investment cost analysis and subsequent optimisation.

URBAN WATER AND DISTRIBUTION NETWORKS: CARTOGRAPHY AND PLANNING

Planning studies and operation diagnoses of drinking water networks. Raising and modelling of supply networks. Stock-taking of assets and hydraulic infrastructure and their implementation in GIS.

The Water Master Plan is a consulting service that facilitates:

• Acquiring thorough, accurate knowledge of the water distribution network.

• Conducting a diagnosis of current and future operations.

• Performing a comprehensive service diagnosis (including hydraulic operation, water quality, resource availability, physical condition of facilities and networks, and so forth).

BASIN MANAGEMENT: WATER PLANNING

The purpose of water planning is to plan all the actions required to guarantee that the entire demand for water is met and ensure the good condition and protection of bodies of water, thereby guaranteeing balanced and harmonious regional development. These solutions include drawing up hydrological plans for basins, demand studies, water resource studies, planning of surface water bodies, water resource inventories and alternative water resource use plans.

BASIN MANAGEMENT: RIVER ENGINEERING AND FLOOD MANAGEMENT

This product offers a comprehensive solution for flood management. It covers the tasks of:

WATER TREATMENTS: DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF SUPPLY, PROCESS AND WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

The solution offers studies and analysis, design engineering (process and technology selection), validation through pilot plants, construction (new works, remodelling, extension, automation), commissioning of water and sludge treatment systems and facilities and technical support for operating or processes.

All this is applied to the industrial sector (food and drink, chemicals and petrochemicals, paper industry, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, hospitals, automotive and iron and steel, housing developments, golf courses, and more) and applied to drinking water and process and/or service water treatment plants (cooling towers, boilers, closed circuits), industrial wastewater treatment plants, tertiary treatment plants (for industrial and private reuse) and sludge treatment. The technology Aqualogy uses to carry out the projects is both proprietary and carefully selected from technological partners, as well as from suppliers of standard equipment.

WATER TREATMENTS: SPECIFIC TREATMENT TECHNOLOGIES

The area of water treatment offers a wide range of different technologies to provide solutions to our customers’ problems. These technologies can be divided into two groups: those aimed at maximum treatment efficiency and those focusing on cost optimisation.

WATER TREATMENTS: TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE AND CONSULTANCY SERVICES

This solution offers technical assistance and consultancy for the optimisation and control of water treatment processes, such as:

  • Technical assistance in ultrafiltration membrane and reverse osmosis systems, with the use of specific software and dedicated lab equipment.
  • NOVEDAR software to assist in the design of urban and industrial WWTPs.
  • Pilot plants for different technologies, such as electrochemical, biological or membrane.
  • Biological WWTP operation optimisation software, providing savings of up to 40% on electrical energy consumption for aerating.

SLUDGE AND BIOMASS: Drying of sludge and biomass

Aqualogy develops high-quality technological drying solutions, combined with energy-efficient measures and respect for the environment, thanks to in-house technology based on the application of solutions for the use of residual energy and heat pumps.

Its low-temperature dryer reduces the volume of sludge, both industrial and urban, from wastewater treatment plants and various industrial processes, as well as various types of biomass, facilitating the use of various types of residual energy. The end product can be used for agricultural purposes or as an alternative fuel.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Consultancy

Aimed at improving energy efficiency in companies and their facilities. The product includes the auditing service, carbon footprint, ISO-50001 certification and sector-based monitoring over SisMo Web. Implementing this system provides detailed information, facilitating correct decision making and optimisation based on objective criteria.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Energy purchasing

This frees customers from having to devote their own resources to managing their electricity. Global optimisation is proposed through purchase management, remote meter reading, bill verification, contract optimisation and subsidy management. GEFEL is a further option, an online platform that helps streamline e-bill verification by means of an integrated circuit, which optimises the validation and payment process.

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Energy efficiency projects

ENERGY EFFICIENCY: Renewable energies

Aqualogy has the capacity to carry out detailed analyses and studies of sites, draft and execute projects and operate and maintain facilities in the field of renewable energies. This solution includes photovoltaic solar energy, mini-hydraulic and pico-turbine projects by means of APT Systems, developed by Aqualogy.

HYDROGEOLOGY: Water rights and public water resource management

Water is a public asset while its use is private, and the assets and spaces that make up public water resources (PWR) are regulated by the Water Act, while mineral, mineral-medicinal and thermal waters are regulated by the Mine Act. Aqualogy carries out all water concession and treated water reuse procedures, land and waterway discharge authorisations, uses and occupation of PWR and their protection zone, as well as declarations of mineral, mineral-medicinal or thermal water.

HYDROGEOLOGY: GROUNDWATER CATCHMENT MANAGEMENT

Monitoring variables and obtaining characteristic and efficiency ratios for wells (taking into account the aquifer, hydraulic performance of the drilling and electromechanical performance of the propulsion equipment) permit the optimisation of water extraction costs and improved guarantees of supply.

Drilling audits are a means of establishing the condition and efficiency of each of the catchment elements and options for improvement by adjusting the flow, development/descaling of the well and/or modifying propulsion equipment and facilities. AQUA GARD™ is a system preventing efficiency and quality loss, which uses liquid CO2 and does not require the electric pump to be uninstalled.

HYDROGEOLOGY: Hydrogeological consultancy

Hydrogeological studies are the tool that enables groundwater resources to be characterised and quantified. Techniques applied include hydrogeological cartography, geophysics, hydrogeochemistry, drill diagraphy, control network monitoring, demand assessment and flow and pollutant transport modelling.

Their results are directly applicable to defining borehole and beach well sites, assessing renewable resources and reserves, decontaminating groundwater, carrying out artificial recharge and the drainage of excavations and mines, among others.

HYDROGEOLOGY: DRILLING, REHABILITATION AND EQUIPPING OF WELLS

Aqualogy undertakes the complete works for wells and boreholes for water catchment. The drilling is carried out using the most appropriate system for each type of rock, diameter and depth of the works.

Developments, cleaning and pumping gauging/tests are also performed using high-power equipment, and the pumping equipment, power supply and surface civil engineering work are designed, supplied and installed. The Aqua Freed® system is used for the development and descaling of wells using liquid CO2, which is appropriate for drinking water facilities, is environmentally compatible (no acid water generated) and has a greater radius of action than conventional systems.

Automation and remote control systems are a key tool for improving the operating efficiency of all processes related to the complete water cycle and the environment.

We help our complete water cycle and environment customers to optimize the operational, economic and environmental management of their facilities through automation and remote control.

We cover all phases of the project, from initial consultancy and advice to supply, installation and commissioning, including after-sales services.

 

CONTROL SYSTEMS: MONITORING AND CONTROL INSTRUMENTATION

We help our customers to implement instrumentation equipment in order to monitor and control their complete water cycle processes. We provide solutions at both an individual level (instrumentation equipment) and as part of a system (quality or remote control stations to monitor and control complete water cycle facilities).

We are present in all the phases of the process, from initial consultancy and advice to design and final rollout.
We implement a wide variety of equipment, and among those for the complete water cycle, the following stand out:

It is highly specialised in the use and integration of these technologies in remote management and control networks.
