SUEZ Spain shares its solutions and technologies at the SIGA fair

SUEZ Spain shared solutions and technologies at SIGA, the fair for innovative water management solutions, held in Madrid from 28 February to 3 March, with the aim of meeting market needs and contributing to the protection of natural resources for all in the future.
In particular, the services offered by SUEZ are focused on three markets: cities, industry and agriculture. “The objective is to contribute to efficient and sustainable management”, explained the Director of SUEZ Advanced Solutions Spain, Manuel Cermerón.
The solutions thus include especially Well Services, focused on optimized management of water boreholes and wells, and new technologies such as drones, especially appropriate thanks to their efficiency and safety, in particular for professionals working in inaccessible places and confined spaces.
During the SIGA fair, various presentations were made on the generation of small hydro power, based on taking advantage of the flow and the pressure available within drinking water networks, and success stories were shared, such as odour treatment at the Galindo Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) in Bilbao. In this case, an in-depth study was carried out, with which the critical areas of the WWTP were subsequently covered, the whole aspiration and ventilation system of the sludge line was remodelled and, at present, all the emissions are treated in an inorganic filler high-performance bio-filter with very good results.
At the SIGA fair, SUEZ likewise presented a comprehensive solution based on the Aquadvanced® platform to control and reduce non-revenue water. This solution uses advanced leak detection and location technologies, such as Utilis for pre-location by satellite and Idroloc for detection using helium.
Aquadvanced™ Water Networks was also presented. This is an innovative and modular SaaS solution which allows operators to manage the supply networks efficiently, reducing operating costs, controlling the water quality and optimizing water and energy consumption.
