SUEZ Advanced Solutions joins the Polish Chamber of Ecology
22 December 2016
SUEZ Advanced Solutions has joined the Polish Chamber of Ecology, promoting environment-friendly technologies and the commitment to protect natural resources.
In this context, SUEZ Advanced Solutions recently participated in the conference “Eco-innovation in Poland. Current state, barriers for development and possibilities of support". This forum dealt with the importance of innovation in relation to protecting the environment and sustainable development.
The representatives of SUEZ in Poland presented their projects and technologies, aligned with the circular economy approach, such as the project for a waste incineration plant in Poznań (a city to the west of Poland with over 500,000 inhabitants) and AQL 500 technology, the adaptation of IcePigging to the cleaning of pipes in industry.
AQL 500, prize for best water technology
This technology, AQL 500, was precisely the one chosen in the 15th Ekolaury Ecology Awards 2016 as the best technology in the water and sewerage sector. The Ekolaury awards are a national competition in Poland intended for companies, administrations and non-governmental organizations which obtain the most notable achievements in environmental protection.
AQL 500 technology, based on cleaning pipes with crushed ice, drags the sediments and deposits and produces a descaling effect much greater than on draining with water or other conventional systems. Applied to industry, this system provides efficiency improvements on reducing effluent and the water used.
