WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANTS

Aqualogy’s experience in building wastewater treatment plants is backed by 506 facilities operating worldwide, with a treatment capacity of over 4,222,153 m3/day.

Some of the notable facilities in recent years include the Mapocho blackwater treatment plant in Santiago de Chile, with a treatment capacity of 570,000 m3/day, the Torrevieja blackwater treatment plant, designed to treat 60,000 m3/day, and the Arroyo de la Miel blackwater treatment plant in Malaga, with a capacity of 40,000 m3/day.

DRINKING WATER TREATMENT

Drinking water treatment plants (DWTP) designed and built by Aqualogy use both conventional flocculation–filtration–chlorination treatments and state-of-the-art drinking water production technologies (membranes, microfiltration, disinfection using CO2, etc.).

Our proven experience in building DWTPs can be seen in the 250 drinking water treatment facilities in operation all over the world, with a total treatment capacity of 6,020,657 m3/day.
Our most recent and significant works include those for the project to improve the reverse osmosis water treatment at the Sant Joan Despí DWTP in Barcelona, with a capacity of 206,000 m3/day.

OTHER WATER INFRASTRUCTURES

Although Aqualogy’s main business in the field of infrastructure is the design and construction of all kinds of water treatment facilities, we have a team of technicians who specialise in executing water infrastructures in general:

  • Drinking water supply networks: catchment, pumping stations, pressure pipes, reservoirs and water tanks, distribution networks and network renovations
  • Wastewater treatment and sewerage networks: pressure pipes, collector sewers, outfalls, storm tanks, etc.

SEAWATER AND BRACKISH WATER DESALINATION

Aqualogy offers a solution for the production of high-quality water, regardless of the source of the water to be treated (sea or brackish water from aquifers).

Notable among our 17 desalination plants in operation is the seawater treatment plant for the Barcelona metropolitan area, with a drinking water production capacity of over 200,000 m3/day.

Arsenic (As) is a chemical element present in the environment and highly toxic in its inorganic form.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), prolonged consumption of water rich in arsenic represents a significant threat to public health.

In dealing with this problem, Aqualogy and AdEdge Technologies provide institutions, water companies and industrial processes with specific, clean and profitable solutions that guarantee the removal of arsenic from water and compliance with local regulations.

Aqualogy’s offer integrates the design, development, manufacture and supply of innovative technologies. To date, over 400 removal projects have been implemented worldwide.
